Websites for Kerry guesthouses

A website for your B&B or guesthouse: the rooms, the place around them and how to book, in your guests' languages. Priced in writing before I start.

What guests look for

  • The rooms, one by one

Real photos of each room, the beds, the bathroom and the view, so nobody books the wrong one.

  • Where you are

A map, how to get there, where to park and how far you are from what guests come to see.

  • How to book, in one step

A booking request form that reaches your email, or the booking button of the system you already use.

  • In your guests' languages

English and the languages your guests speak. You choose them, and each one comes with a language switcher.

  • Answers before they ask

Check-in times, breakfast, pets, cancellations: the answers you decide, written once on the website.

  • Fast on a phone

Many guests look you up on their phone, often already travelling, so the website is designed for the small screen first.

Ceo, piece by piece

A complete website I built for an invented guesthouse on Caragh Lake, in Kerry. It is not a real business: it shows what each part does, and you can try it.

The Ceo home page, from the Reeks in the mist at the top to the four rooms and the breakfast card
The Reeks in the mist
The page opens on the mountains under a veil of mist that lifts as you scroll. Ceo means mist in Irish.
A key for each room
Four keys swing on a ring: pick one and the room appears, with its view, its bed and its price per night.
The breakfast card
Tick the breakfast and the time, hang the card on the door, and it comes with you to the booking.
What to climb tomorrow
Your pace and your time give the walk that starts from the house, with its real height profile.
Booking with the total price
Seasons, the winter closure and the minimum stay in summer: the total appears as you choose, with extras for the hill.
In English and Irish
Both languages, with a switcher at the top of every page, plus a gift voucher, a panel for the house and an assistant that answers questions.

What your guests come for

Kerry sells itself: the lakes, the mountains, the Ring of Kerry. Your website can show guests what is close to your door. I work from Killarney, right in the middle.

Frequently asked questions

Do I still need Booking.com or Airbnb? Your website doesn't replace them: many guests will still find you there. It gives you a place of your own to show the house your way, where guests who already know you can write to you or book directly. How much you rely on each is up to you.

Can guests book on the website? Yes. The Business package includes a booking request form that arrives in your email, and you confirm each stay yourself. If you already use an online booking system, we look at adding its booking button; if that needs extra work, it is priced in your written quote.

Which languages should it be in? The ones your guests speak. Essential and Business include one language and Business + AI includes two; each extra language is €199. With the AI assistant, guests can also ask questions in their own language at any hour.

Will my guesthouse show up on Google Maps? Places on Google Maps come from a Google Business Profile, and setting yours up is included in every package. Nobody can promise a position on Google, and I don't either.

Do you take the photographs? Photography is not included in the packages. Real photos of your rooms work best: if you have them, I use them, and if you don't, we talk about it in your proposal.

How much does it cost? From €690 for a one-page website and from €1,490 for a complete one with up to 5 pages. I confirm the exact price in writing before any work starts. Domain and hosting are paid to the provider.
